Justin Hall Port Alberni Death:- The Port Alberni RCMP has confirmed the worst fears surrounding the disappearance of Amber Manthorne, who has been missing for two years. During a press conference, authorities revealed that foul play is suspected and that Amber is “not likely to be found alive.” Last seen on July 6, 2022, Amber was confirmed alive until July 7, after which she was reported missing on July 8 when her 2021 white Jeep Compass was discovered hidden in a forested area near Nanaimo.
Prior to her disappearance, Amber mentioned plans to meet her ex-boyfriend, Justin Hall, who has emerged as a person of interest in the case. Following her failure to report to work, friends and family grew concerned. Amber’s last known GPS location was in the Cameron Lake area, raising alarms about her safety with Hall, especially after their recent breakup.
The RCMP released a timeline of Amber’s last known movements, highlighting significant moments, including her being captured on CCTV purchasing groceries on July 7. Key footage shows Hall using Amber’s vehicle on July 8, making multiple purchases and attempting to transport luggage. Hall, who died by suicide last year, has limited further investigation efforts.
Despite the challenges, the investigation remains active, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing the need for public assistance. Amber’s mother, Lorraine Murray, is pleading for help to bring her daughter home. Police also seek the recovery of Amber’s cell phone, which remains missing. Anyone with leads is encouraged to contact local authorities or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
