New Orleans Car Accident: Mount Carmel Academy student injured following vehicle crash

New Orleans Car Accident:- A Mount Carmel Academy student was hit by a car around 11:32 a.m. on Wednesday. The crash occurred while the eighth grader was crossing Allen Toussaint Boulevard and Wuerpel Street.

New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) authorities say the school zone was not active at the time of the incident, raising traffic safety concerns. After contact, the automobile hit another and flipped over, complicating the scene.

EMS from New Orleans took two people to the hospital for treatment. The other accident victim’s identify and health are unknown. School officials say the injured kid is recovering well at home and will return to Mount Carmel Academy next week.

The school released a statement expressing relief over the student’s condition and urging privacy for the family during this difficult time.

According to Mount Carmel Academy, “One of our pupils was hit by a car yesterday, two blocks from campus and outside a school zone. The student is healing at home, which is good news. Her name is confidential, and her family has requested anonymity.”

The school stressed student safety, saying, “We take this situation very seriously since student safety is our top priority. Our people should be attentive and careful when travelling near schools.”

The community and school should consider safety and school zone traffic as the inquiry progresses.
