About Jamie Cunningham

Jamie Cunningham was a gifted athlete who began rowing at Picton Rowing Club (PRC) at the age of thirteen. She had the capacity to succeed greatly, and that was clear right away. Jamie was a bright young thing who inspired others on and off the sea. She was an avid outdoors enthusiast and challenger who could always find a way to solve an issue. Jamie always wanted to challenge the lads or go racing when she was out on the water in their row boats!

She spearheaded a massive fundraising campaign, cutting and transporting firewood, with the help of her parents Caire and Tony, in order to help pay for lodging and transportation for all the young rowers who attend regattas. She also created some transportable skiff dumps for the club with her dad’s assistance. Everyone is always in awe of the craftsmanship’s excellence as well as the fact that she came up with the idea to create them when she was just a young teenager.
