Garfield High School Shooting: Shot fired prompts lockdowns at Nova High School in Seattle’s Central District

Garfield High School Shooting:- A shooting in Seattle’s Central District on Thursday afternoon has led to lockdowns at Nova High School and Garfield High School. The lockdown at Garfield was initiated as a precaution, according to Seattle police.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting six or seven gunshots near Nova High School on East Cherry Street. Staff members noted that one bullet struck a second-story window of the school, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Witnesses observed two vehicles fleeing the area, and it is believed the occupants were firing at each other. The incident leading up to the shooting are currently under investigation.
