Dylan Hardin, a resident of Millstadt, Illinois, and a beloved brother and son has tragically passed away. A deadly motorbike accident that occurred close to Interstate 55 early on the morning of October 9 resulted in the death of a Millstadt man who was 22 years old. An official statement issued by the Madison County Coroner’s office stated that Dylan Hardin, who was 22 years old at the time of his death, was travelling at a high rate of speed on his red 2024 Honda CBX 1000 motorcycle while travelling south on the frontage road of Old US Route 66, which parallels the interstate.
The motorcycle that Hardin was riding went off the road and crashed into the median area that is adjacent to the interstate for reasons that are unknown. He was protecting his head with a helmet. According to the press release, his family got concerned when he did not come home and utilized a mobile application to track his whereabouts in order to find out where he was from.
After discovering the scene of the collision, they called 911 at 2:41 in the morning. It was determined that the Illinois State Police and the Worden Fire Department should be sent to the location. At 3:36 in the morning, the coroner’s office had pronounced 22 people dead. The initial cause of death is determined to be blunt force injuries to the head and chest. There will also be toxicological testing carried out on a routine basis.
