Damian Calvo, a resident of Visalia, California, and an employee with UCSF Health sadly passed away on October 1, 2024. He was announced dead in a social media post that read “Best friend damn this hurts to even type. You were my twin flame and we were two peas in a pod. I remember our first hello together and it breaks my heart to say good bye to you tomorrow. No one will understand the bond we shared and the impact we had on each other lives, you will forever be imprinted in my heart.”
Who was Damian Calvo?
On January 22, 1995, Daniel and Katherine Calvo of Visalia, California, welcomed Damian Alexander Calvo into the world. Their greatest gift, Damian, introduced us to motherhood. The eldest of five siblings was Damian. The first to enroll in and graduate from college was him. He studied nursing at Azusa Pacific University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. He belonged to Sigma Theta Tau as well. He was extremely talented in his field and had a strong enthusiasm for it.
Damian made assisting others his life’s work. Damian started working as a nurse at Kaweah Delta District Hospital after receiving his degree from Azusa Pacific University. He spent two years working in the 3W ICCU. He subsequently made the risk of working as a travelling nurse in San Francisco and Santa Rosa. When he started working for UCSF in 2023, his ambition of working for a renowned hospital came true.
About Damian Calvo
Damian brought so much love and happiness into our lives even at an early age. He spent endless hours playing on the beach or camping in the great outdoors. Swimming and football were two of Damian’s passions. Being in nature always brought him such comfort. Damian was also gifted artistically. He would paint anything that his imagination conjured up, whether it was drawing for hours on a canvas or doodling on paper.
Due to his love of music, he had many enjoyable experiences singing and dancing with friends who ended up becoming family. He had an unfathomable affection for his family, including his siblings. Because, as we all know, Damian suffered from “FOMO,” or the fear of missing out, he constantly placed his family first and frequently postponed or cancelled engagements with friends to ensure he wouldn’t miss out on anything.
Regardless matter what was happening around him, he would make sure to be involved. Damian was well-known for his big heart and easygoing demeanor. He was incredibly daring and never worried about going on an excursion or adventure by himself. He had complete faith in his abilities to handle the situation and enjoy himself, which he did. wherever he was, he was making friends along the way.

Visitation will be held 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Service Of Remembrance services will be held 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Thursday, October 10th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia.
