Boles Independent School District 8th Grader Braxton Luttrell Harris of Greenville, Texas has sadly passed away. He died leaving family and friend devastated on Monday 7th October 2024 at the age of 14. He was announced dead by the school district through a Facebook post that said “October 7, 2024 Dear BISD Family, All of us at Boles ISD are deeply saddened and devastated to receive news regarding the loss of Braxton Luttrell-Harris, one of our 8th graders at Boles Middle School.”
On September 15, 2010, a bright star was born in Los Colinas, Texas. Braxton, the son of Jeff Harris and Joshlynn Rena Luttrell Harris, has quickly made his mark as a promising young individual. Currently in the 8th grade at Boles Independent School District (ISD), he embodies the spirit of creativity, curiosity, and resilience that defines today’s youth.
As an 8th grader at Boles ISD, Braxton has demonstrated a keen interest in learning. His teachers have noted his enthusiasm for subjects such as science and mathematics, where he often excels. Braxton’s inquisitive nature drives him to ask questions and seek deeper understanding, making him a standout student in his class.

He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Joshlynn Harris; Sister, Shalei Felts, His Ninny (Sue Harris), His Grams (Mary Luttrell), His Grandma (Darlene Battistoni-Dauzat), Mimi and Poppy, Janet and Loyd Webb, Nana, Kathleen Knapp, Great-Uncle Billy Harris, Aunt Tammy Harris McHenry & Uncle Brian McHenry, Uncle Michael Harris, Aunt Tiffany Luttrell-Waldron, Aunt Amy Luttrell-LeVrier & Uncle John LeVrier, Uncles, John Graf and Michael Graf, Many Great Aunts, Great Uncles, and Cousins who he loved dearly & they loved him.
He was preceded in death by His Boppa (Mike Harris), His Grandad (Joe Luttrell), His Grandpa (Dallas Dauzat), His Great-Grandparents-Granny Lucy Luttrell, Grandaddy- Roy Luttrell, Ma- Bonnie Neeley, Dad-Dad Hoyle Pete Neeley, Meme-Dorothy Taylor, Papa- Delbert Taylor, and Grandmother- Dorothy Harris. A celebration of Braxton’s life will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stan Coleman officiating.
